The route takes you through the densely populated New Jersey-New York area, past the famed George Washington Bridge and over the Catskills.

The trip takes about 40 minutes to complete, according to FlightRadar24.

Hawaii-Newark Airport is about 40 miles south of New York City and roughly two hours south of Long Island.

You can find the Honolulu International Airport and the Port Authority Bus Terminal in the vicinity.

Airlines usually check passengers’ passports before making their final decisions.

But airlines do not typically check travelers’ bags before making the trip, and travelers may need to pay for the privilege.

Travel by air costs about $2,000 per person per flight.

The cost of a flight from Honolulu to New Haven, Connecticut is about $1,500.
