‘The Biggest Loser’ stars to return to TV next year

NEW YORK — For The Biggest Laughs:   The Biggies will return to the airwaves next year, with star James Corden as the host of the Emmy-winning comedy series.

The series, which has won five Emmys and was nominated for four, will air on HBO from March 21, according to HBO, which acquired the network in December.

The show is set to feature appearances by Corden and actor Adam DeVine.

“This is a show that has taken us on a journey that we have never experienced before,” said HBO President Casey Bloys.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with James Cordens Biggie team and to have them join us for the first time as a permanent part of our comedy family.”

James Corden will host “The Big Gies,” a comedy series on HBO, March 21.

HBO/Facebook/James Cordens’ big gags are well-known.

For instance, he once threw himself off a cliff to get out of a jam, and he was once trapped inside a room with a clown.

In the first episode of the series, “Biggest Losers,” he had to hide in a closet with the other contestants until they all got out.

“The BigGies” has been the number one comedy series in ratings for two seasons, averaging 3.5 million viewers per episode.

The episodes aired on HBO in 2015, with the network airing a second season in 2018.

Corden’s comedy was also nominated for three Emmys.
